Another record of the Arctic: 30 Celsius degrees, take action!
What are the effects of climate change on earth systems?
The earth is experiencing a huge and serious negative climate change impacts. The Arctic is not an exception as it records 30 Celsius degrees this week. For such a long time, when it comes to the Arctic, we often imagine ice, snow and coldness. The Arctic which is famous for its cold weather now experiences 30 Celsius degree. This raises an alert about the negative effect of climate change and global warming state.
What are the effects of climate change on earth systems?
Here we want to assert again about the alarming degree record of the Arctic Circle. In Siberia, people have recorded a temperature of 30 Celsius degrees. This situation has never been seen in history and Siberia has been an extremely cold area. The annually averaged temperature in Siberia was about 5 celsius degrees and in July, the average temperature was 17 celsius degrees. That the temperature in Siberia reaches 30 celsius degrees is such an alarming situation. The Arctic ice sea in the Kara area also experiences a low recorded amount of ice. Many people worry that without positive action, the winter may disappear.

A researcher from the Finnish Meteorological Institute, Mika Rantanen, marks the extraordinary hot area in the West of Siberia in the map. This area has experienced a massive heatwave last week, thus the temperature may lower a bit next week. However, it is forecasted that the heat will continue to spread all the area soon. Rantanen emphasized the reason for the extreme heat is “upper-level-ridge”. Such weather will lead to forest fires which have been spreading in different parts of the world. Pierre Markuse, after collecting and analyzing satellite data, puts his focus on strange wildfires in the Arctic Circle. This situation has rarely been seen in the past. Most of the wildfires are recorded in the Eastern Siberia. The wildfires near the ice drift are the clearest signal of climate change’s effects on our earth. Not only in Kara area but also in many areas around the Arctic also experience huge losses in ice, including Bering and Barents Sea. So what are the numbers and the facts above telling us? They are alarming us about the bad situation of the earth in the impact of climate change - an international alert climate change - requiring human to take immediate for prevention of global warming in points, global warming solutions, and sufficient actions for stopping global warming or we will end with extreme heat.
