A recent survey conducted by real estate website Immoweb has revealed that the most expensive streets in Belgium are all located in Brussels. Topping the list is Kasteeltjeslaan in Ukkel, where the price per square metre of real estate is a staggering 5,569 euros. Following closely behind is Dalstraat in the City of Brussels, where buyers can expect to pay 5,475 euros per square metre. Rounding out the top three is Corporaaldreef in Ukkel, with a price of 5,439 euros per square metre.
Interestingly, the most expensive street in Flanders, Vogelmarkt in Ghent, only ranks 27th on the list, with a price of 4,975 euros per square metre. In Wallonia, Rue Saint-Jean in Namur takes the top spot with a price of 2,921 euros per square metre. Immoweb suggests that those looking to purchase property in an urban setting at a more affordable price should consider Wallonia, particularly Mons in Hainaut Province, where prices are significantly lower.
For those seeking the most affordable real estate options, the Rue Sablonnière in Mons offers the lowest prices at just 1,239 euros per square metre. In Flanders, the Egelstraat in Hasselt is the cheapest street, with prices at 1,826 euros per square metre.
It is clear from the survey that Brussels remains the epicenter of high-priced real estate in Belgium, with Flanders and Wallonia offering more affordable options for buyers.
