Property owners wishing to rent their accommodations for stays of 31 days or fewer must obtain registration numbers from Quebec's tourism industry regulator and prominently display them in their online listings.

Failure to showcase accurate registration information may result in fines of up to $50,000 for rental operators, while platforms themselves face penalties of up to $20,000 if they do not appoint a representative in Quebec.
