Half of generation Z are opting for beauty career choices
Beauty and spa industry is becoming more and more popular nowadays, leading to the development of so many beauty careers on the market. People, especially the youth, take care of their appearance so much. Therefore, they consider beauty as their number one hobby and potential career choice. A survey has been done to demonstrate this fact.

According to the survey, if the percent for other interests like music, fashion, exercise and cooking is respectively 79%, 71%, 39% and 34%, the amount for beauty and wellness is 88%. It can be said that this is the highest number of the list. In addition, more than 40% of them reported that they wanted to pursue a career in global spa and beauty market. This can be a good news for the industry because it can help solve the problem of recuitment crisis. The survey also shows that in the beauty and spa industry today, there are about 30,000 international vacancies. Therefore, this needs to be discussed seriously at PB’s Salon and Spa Connect networking forum, which will take place at PB North.
Cidesco president Mary O’Donoghue said that the influence of buoyant beauty industry in Ireland was very clear and there was a high increase in the demand for professional educational and training courses. She added, with that sector, potential candidates were offered their dream job that was fulfilling while being flexible and stable even during economic uncertainty like nowadays. To sum up, the trend for career in beauty industry is understandable. With such a fast growth of this sector over the world, young people do not need to worry much about their beauty jobs in the future.
