Wellder's Profits Surge by 75% in First Half of 2025

Wellder, the residential Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) jointly owned by the Dutch pension provider APG and Renta Corporación, has reported impressive financial results for the first half of 2025, achieving a remarkable 75% increase in profit. The company announced a net turnover of €2.73 million, significantly up from €1.56 million in the same period last year. This growth underscores Wellder’s strong position in the residential real estate market.

Strong Financial Performance

In its half-yearly balance sheet, Wellder revealed a profit of €2.72 million, nearly doubling the €1.39 million recorded during the first half of 2024. This robust performance is attributed to strategic investments and effective management of its growing portfolio. The report, submitted to BME Scaleup, highlights a net turnover that reflects the increasing demand for residential properties, particularly in Spain.

Valuable Real Estate Portfolio

Wellder’s impressive portfolio consists of eleven residential properties valued at €104 million, primarily located in the northern regions of Spain and Alicante. The total area of these assets is approximately 72,474 square meters, providing a substantial capacity with 1,620 beds. The company noted that any variations in the value of its real estate investments and rights of use amounted to €1.51 million, a significant increase from the €0.4 million reported as of June 30 last year. This valuation has been confirmed by an independent expert, ensuring transparency and credibility in the assessment of the company’s assets.

Commitment to Sustainability

In addition to its financial success, Wellder is committed to environmental sustainability. All of its properties are certified with Breeam environmental certificates, reflecting the REIT’s dedication to sustainable building practices and energy efficiency. This commitment not only enhances the value of its portfolio but also aligns with the growing market demand for sustainable living options.

Looking Ahead

As Wellder continues to expand its presence in the residential real estate market, its impressive financial results and commitment to sustainability position it as a leader in the sector. The joint venture between Renta Corporación and APG is poised for further growth, potentially increasing its portfolio and enhancing its impact on the housing market in Spain.

With a strong foundation and a clear vision for the future, Wellder is set to capitalize on the ongoing demand for residential properties, ensuring its continued success in the competitive real estate landscape.
