In this project, Bee & Kin cooperated with Swedish company Flic in order to apply modern technology to fashion product. Tracey Hummel, founder of Bee & Kin had to make a lot of efforts when speaking to nearly 100 women to do a small survey. From that, she can understand the general demands of women which can be carried out by the handbag’s smart buttons. Actually, women have a lot of needs and different demands. They always have troubles with finding keys or phones. According to Hummel, she would like to help users “customize the experience as much as possible”. With a system designed by Flic, this smart handbag can help customers find their phones or keys, send a pre-written email or even start a playlist. Moreover, the button in the bag can help owner order an UberX, which is highly appreciated for the convenience and usefulness.
