Researchers at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) have discovered how they can help cells younger, reverse aging, and prolong the lifespan of humans.

According to Professor Kwang-Huyn Cho at KAIST,  the authors' original technique could help prevent aging-related diseases, reverse this process and prolong longevity.

In an interview with RT, Professor Cho added that they have observed the skin revitalization process in the laboratory conditions.  Mr. Cho affirmed that this was "impressive", "amazing" result, a new technique applied to the whole body, not just the skin.

KAIST's approach relies on chemical inhibition and gene intervention to turn off a molecule that causes cells to age.  Researchers are also able to "awaken" rejuvenated skin cells, increasing their ability to repair.  In laboratory conditions, it also stimulates division and production of new cells.

Basically, the function of skin tissue has been regenerated, bringing back healthy collagen and elastic fibers, removing wrinkles.  Professor Cho also affirmed that this technique can help stop dryness, wrinkles, loss of elasticity and thinning of the skin.

In fact, uncontrolled cell division can lead to malignant tumors.  This mechanism creates the risk of cancer in many people.  To this point, Professor Cho asserts that the edited skin cells can fully adapt without leading to cancer.  The KAIST method also removes dead cells, limiting inflammation.

However, Professor Cho added that the cost to use this method in beauty to prolong the youthfulness is not small.  Depending on the success of the trial, the team plans to bring this "rejuvenating" method to the market in about 5-7 years.  Mr. Cho believes it will replace current cosmetic methods to reduce wrinkles and prevent aging.

The results above were published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States.  Initial results are quite promising, however, they also need time for clinical trial and completion.

HOW DOES LPG ENDERMOLOGIE TREATMENTS WORK?

Endermologie is a scientific technique that uses the principles of pressure massage methods.  The LPG Endermologie Treatments head is equipped with two rollers, both with motors for kneading and massaging tissues.  Between the rollers is a suction chamber that pressures the tissue to increase blood supply to the area.  By manipulating the head differently, the skin and subcutaneous fat cells are stimulated and blood circulation is improved.
