Dutch neobank Bunq Launches Finn: Europe’s First AI-Powered Bank
Discover how Bunq's new generative AI platform, Finn, is revolutionizing digital banking with advanced language models and seamless customer experience.
Dutch neobank Bunq has made a significant leap in the digital banking space with the launch of its new generative AI (GenAI) platform, Finn. This innovative platform is designed to enhance the customer experience by providing a seamless and intuitive way for users to access information and seek advice related to their bank accounts, savings, spending habits, budgeting, financial planning, transactions, and more. According to Bunq, Finn is powered by advanced large language models (LLMs) and is capable of answering complex customer queries, making it the first AI-powered bank in Europe.
In addition to the launch of Finn, Bunq has reported a substantial increase in its user base, with over 11 million users across the EU. The neobank has also witnessed a 55% growth in user deposits, reaching €7 billion since July this year. Furthermore, Bunq has introduced new features tailored for digital nomads and international businesses, including free credit cards for all users and Apple Tap to Pay functionality, allowing business users to utilize their iPhones as payment terminals.
In a strategic move for international expansion, Bunq secured an additional €44.5 million in funding in July and applied for a US banking license with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in New York. This initiative reflects the neobank's ambition to extend its services to all 50 states, marking a significant milestone in its global growth strategy.
Bunq's introduction of the Finn platform and its impressive user growth and expansion efforts underscore its commitment to innovation and customer-centric banking solutions. With its focus on leveraging AI technology and enhancing user experience, Bunq is poised to further solidify its position as a leading neobank in Europe and beyond.
